Divisional/Plant Controller
We are looking for an experienced Divisional/Plant Controller to join our team on a contract basis in Kansas City, Kansas. This position is ideal for a candidate with a strong background in accounting and financial operations within the food and food processing industry. You will play a pivotal role in overseeing financial processes, ensuring accuracy, and delivering timely reporting to support organizational goals.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Manage full-cycle accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and deposits.<br>• Prepare and deliver accurate financial reports for management review.<br>• Perform month-end close activities, including reconciliations and reporting using Business Central and Excel.<br>• Maintain and monitor inventory accounting and annual inventory processes.<br>• Oversee standard costing and ensure annual cost updates are accurate and timely.<br>• Conduct financial analyses to identify variances and track discounts.<br>• Utilize Microsoft Business Central and Excel for budgeting, data analysis, and reporting.<br>• Ensure compliance with fiscal year-end requirements based on a 4-4-5 retail calendar.<br>• Collaborate with the team to improve financial processes and drive efficiency.<br>• Support the organization’s revenue goals by maintaining precise accounting practices.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or financial management roles.<br>• Proficiency in month-end close processes and reconciliations.<br>• Strong knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting and standard costing.<br>• Experience in financial reporting and controllership responsibilities.<br>• Advanced skills in Excel for data analysis and budgeting.<br>• Familiarity with Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar ERP systems.<br>• Ability to manage inventory accounting and annual inventory processes.<br>• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and analytical skills.
