AR/AP Manager
We are looking for an experienced AR/AP Manager to join our team on a contract basis in Jupiter, Florida. This role will focus on managing the daily operations of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, ensuring accuracy and compliance while driving process improvements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and leadership, with the ability to optimize workflows and support financial reporting.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Oversee and manage the daily operations of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and collections.<br>• Supervise and train AP/AR staff, providing mentorship and conducting performance evaluations.<br>• Review and approve financial documents, maintaining compliance with company policies and accounting standards.<br>• Monitor and manage cash flow, including payment schedules and aging reports, to strengthen vendor and customer relationships.<br>• Collaborate with the accounting team to reconcile the general ledger and ensure accurate transaction recording.<br>• Address and resolve billing discrepancies or disputes with vendors and customers with attention to detail.<br>• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.<br>• Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparing reconciliations and reports.<br>• Provide documentation and insights during financial audits, ensuring transparency and accuracy.<br>• Develop and deliver regular AP/AR status reports to senior management, highlighting metrics and opportunities for improvement.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.<br>• Minimum of 7 years of experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.<br>• Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks and NetSuite, as well as Microsoft Excel.<br>• Strong understanding of accounting principles and ability to manage complex financial processes.<br>• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all tasks.<br>• Proven leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.<br>• Experience with process improvement and automation in financial operations is preferred.<br>• Familiarity with industry-specific practices in water treatment or recreation is a plus.
