<p>Senior AS400 Software Engineer</p><p>Location: Atlanta GA- 5 DAYS ONSITE!!</p><p><br></p><p>We are seeking a Senior AS400 Software Engineer to lead the design, development, and maintenance of complex software solutions. This role involves shaping architectural decisions, mentoring team members, and delivering high-quality software products that align with the organization’s strategic goals. The ideal candidate is a strong programmer, self-motivated, and comfortable diving into complex technical challenges.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p>

<p>Key Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Lead the design and development of complex software modules, ensuring efficient, maintainable, and high-performing code.</li><li>Mentor and guide technical team members to enhance software performance and enforce coding best practices.</li><li>Influence system design through architectural discussions, ensuring alignment with project goals and scalability requirements.</li><li>Partner with cross-functional teams on project planning, resource allocation, and provide technical input.</li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, providing innovative and effective solutions.</li><li>Conduct code reviews to improve code quality and maintain high development standards.</li><li>Maintain comprehensive documentation, including code comments, design rationale, architectural decisions, and technical specifications.</li><li>Analyze and recommend new technologies, tools, and frameworks to improve development processes.</li><li>Develop interfaces to cloud platforms and integrate new technologies into existing systems.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Qualifications:</p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.</li><li>6-7 years of experience in software engineering or application development, with a focus on AS400/IBMi environments.</li><li>Proficiency in programming languages including C#, RPG, VDS, JavaScript (with Express), and TypeScript.</li><li>Experience with cloud computing platforms (Azure preferred; AWS or GCP experience is transferable).</li><li>Experienced with Azure DevOps, or other version control and CI/CD tools.</li><li>Strong understanding and experience of stored procedures and database interactions.</li><li>Exposure to Git would be a nice to have</li><li>Solid problem-solving skills, with the ability to take ownership of a project and run with it.</li><li>Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.</li><li>Experience evaluating and implementing new technologies is a plus.</li></ul><p><br></p>
