<p>We’re seeking a skilled <strong>Low Voltage Cable Technician</strong> to install, test, and maintain low-voltage systems in commercial and industrial environments. This role is hands-on and field-based, supporting structured cabling, security, access control, and audiovisual systems. The ideal candidate takes pride in clean installs, accurate documentation, and reliable troubleshooting.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Install, terminate, label, and test low-voltage cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, fiber)</li><li>Pull and route cable through ceilings, walls, conduits, and cable trays</li><li>Terminate and test cables at patch panels, racks, jacks, and network equipment</li><li>Install and support systems including:</li><li>Data and voice networks</li><li>Surveillance cameras (CCTV)</li><li>Access control systems</li><li>Audio/visual and conference room systems</li><li>Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and floor plans</li><li>Use cable testing tools to verify performance and connectivity</li><li>Troubleshoot cabling and connectivity issues</li><li>Maintain clean, organized, and code-compliant installations</li><li>Follow safety procedures and job-site protocols</li><li>Document work completed and report issues to project managers</li></ul><p><br></p>

<p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>1–5+ years of experience as a Low Voltage Cable Technician (or similar role)</li><li>Hands-on experience with structured cabling installations</li><li>Familiarity with Cat5e/Cat6 termination standards (T568A/B)</li><li>Experience working on ladders, lifts, and in ceiling spaces</li><li>Ability to read basic blueprints and cable layouts</li><li>Strong troubleshooting and attention to detail</li><li>Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Experience with fiber optic cabling (termination/testing)</li><li>Certifications such as BICSI, CTS, or manufacturer training</li><li>Experience with access control, CCTV, or AV systems</li><li>Knowledge of NEC low-voltage standards</li><li>Lift certification (scissor/boom lift)</li></ul><p><br></p>
