Accountant
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a long-term contract position that offers an excellent opportunity to manage essential financial operations while contributing to the smooth functioning of daily business activities. The ideal candidate will thrive in an independent work environment and occasionally participate in quarterly team gatherings.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring accurate and timely transactions.<br>• Maintain and update general bookkeeping records, including the general ledger.<br>• Prepare and issue customer invoices, while monitoring vendor invoices to coordinate payments.<br>• Handle basic procurement tasks, such as submitting and tracking purchase orders.<br>• Assist in creating routine quotes using established templates or inputs provided by colleagues.<br>• Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.<br>• Maintain vendor files and ensure all documentation is up to date.<br>• Answer incoming calls on the company’s main line, directing inquiries to the appropriate departments.<br>• Collaborate with team members during quarterly gatherings to align on goals and strategies.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a similar administrative role.<br>• Proficiency in bookkeeping software such as QuickBooks and advanced knowledge of Excel.<br>• Strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks independently.<br>• Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience is highly preferred.<br>• Familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger processes.<br>• Experience in journal entries and bank reconciliations.<br>• Knowledge of corporate procurement practices and vendor file management.<br>• Previous experience in the Managed IT Service industry is a plus.
