<p>Sr. UI Designer (Contract/Contract-to-Permanent)</p><p>Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior UI Designer to join their collaborative team on a contract basis, with the potential for contract-to-permanent after up to 12 months. This role focuses on improving customer experiences by updating and enhancing product pages as part of our continuing efforts to optimize our eCommerce website. The ideal candidate possesses strong design expertise, a deep understanding of customer needs, and the ability to collaborate with developers to create engaging product listing pages (PLPs).</p><p><br></p><p>Key Details of the Role:</p><ul><li>Work Location: Hybrid position with onsite work in Issaquah, WA (Tuesday–Thursday) and remote work (Monday/Friday).</li><li>Contract Type: Contract with the potential for contract-to-hire after up to 12 months.</li><li>Focus: Enhancing product listing pages to better serve business-to-business (B2B) customers and continually improving the website’s functionality, usability, and design.</li><li>Pay: $50-68/hr on the contract side, with a salary of $110-145K on the FTE side DOE</li></ul><p>Primary Duties and Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Elevate UI Design: Create innovative and visually appealing designs while leveraging advanced UI design techniques such as effective use of layers, shadows, and drop shadow placement to enhance depth and structure.</li><li>Design Ownership: Develop user-centered designs for product listing pages (PLPs) tailored to a B2B audience, ensuring designs enhance usability and customer interaction.</li><li>Figma Expertise: Utilize expert-level skills in Figma to craft layouts, prototypes, and interaction designs. Familiarity with FlexBox is highly desired for managing overall layout structure.</li><li>Collaborative Prototyping: Design and iterate on interactive prototypes to validate design solutions and demonstrate workflows.</li><li>Front-End Understanding: While no coding will be required, a strong understanding of front-end development concepts and the ability to articulate design decisions in technical terms for collaboration with developers is essential.</li><li>Developer Collaboration: Work closely with engineers/developers to ensure design fidelity during the implementation stage.</li><li>Customer Insight: Apply insights gained from understanding customer needs to continuously refine design solutions and improve overall user experience.</li><li>Portfolio Review: Showcase expertise through a robust portfolio of relevant projects, emphasizing visually engaging eCommerce designs and product listing pages.</li></ul>

<p>Requirements:</p><ul><li>Experience: 4+ years of UI design experience, with a strong emphasis on eCommerce and product listing pages.</li><li>Expertise: Advanced knowledge of Figma, FlexBox layout principles, prototyping, and interaction design.</li><li>Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of front-end development to effectively collaborate with developers; no coding required.</li><li>B2B Experience: Proven track record of creating designs for business-to-business (B2B) environments, understanding how listing pages interact with professional customers.</li><li>Portfolio: A well-curated portfolio showcasing your expertise in creating visually striking and functional designs, with a focus on product pages.</li><li>Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills to articulate design decisions, willingness to collaborate in a hybrid team environment, and adaptability to feedback.</li><li>All candidates required to undergo background check and drug screen. </li></ul><p><br></p><p>Preferred Qualifications:</p><ul><li>Prior experience working in eCommerce design projects or other digital product environments.</li><li>Familiarity with designing for apparel, retail, or similar industries.</li><li>Experience collaborating with engineering teams on design implementation.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>If you are a skilled UI designer who excels at creating compelling digital experiences and enjoys working closely with developers to bridge the gap between design and functionality, this role offers a fantastic opportunity to grow your expertise while contributing to the evolution of the company's website and overall growth!</p>
