We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Houston, Texas. This position is ideal for someone with a strong attention to detail and a solid background in accounting and financial reporting. As part of a long-term contract role, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data within the oil and gas pipeline industry.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy across financial records.<br>• Prepare and analyze balance sheet reconciliations to maintain compliance with accounting standards.<br>• Conduct bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies efficiently.<br>• Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date.<br>• Create and post journal entries to support financial reporting processes.<br>• Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel functions to analyze and present financial data.<br>• Oversee month-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate completion.<br>• Work with accounting systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP to streamline operations and reporting.<br>• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial audits and compliance efforts.<br>• Provide detailed financial reports and insights to senior management.

• Proven experience in account reconciliation and financial reporting.<br>• Strong ability to perform balance sheet and bank reconciliations.<br>• Expertise in managing general ledger and journal entries.<br>• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions.<br>• Knowledge of month-end close processes and best practices.<br>• Familiarity with accounting systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP.<br>• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.<br>• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
