We are looking for a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team on a contract basis in Houston, Texas. In this role, you will oversee the coordination of shipping processes to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods while maintaining compliance with company and regulatory standards. This position is ideal for candidates with strong organizational skills and experience in logistics within the energy or natural resources sector.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Organize and manage virtual shipment entries for finished goods and customized products within company systems.<br>• Record and verify shipping details, including carriers, tracking information, and delivery dates, ensuring accuracy for invoicing purposes.<br>• Prepare and distribute shipping documentation required for customer invoicing processes.<br>• Cross-check shipment data against purchase orders and resolve any discrepancies promptly.<br>• Maintain comprehensive records of virtual consignments to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.<br>• Update system parameters to reflect shipment statuses for accurate financial reporting.<br>• Collaborate with Customer Service, Inside Sales, and Finance teams to align on order fulfillment and invoicing timelines.<br>• Identify inefficiencies in shipping-to-invoice workflows and propose solutions to improve process accuracy and speed.<br>• Ensure shipping operations adhere to both internal standards and external regulations.

• Proven experience in shipping, logistics, or distribution within a manufacturing or distribution environment.<br>• Proficiency in using logistics management systems such as Dynamics 365 or similar platforms.<br>• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.<br>• Effective communication skills and a collaborative approach to working across departments.<br>• Familiarity with process improvement methodologies, such as Lean or Six Sigma, is advantageous.<br>• Understanding of shipping documentation and customs requirements.<br>• Ability to analyze and resolve discrepancies in shipping and invoicing data efficiently.
