Logistics Coordinator
We are looking for a highly organized Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Houston, Texas. In this Contract-to-Permanent position, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing oil logistics operations, ensuring smooth communication and compliance with industry standards. If you thrive in fast-paced environments and have a keen eye for detail, this role offers an excellent opportunity to showcase your expertise.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Verify and reconcile oil barrel tickets while accurately documenting load times, tank levels, and other essential data.<br>• Assign trucks for timely oil pickups based on operational priorities such as tank capacity and levels.<br>• Maintain constant communication with truck drivers, field teams, and internal departments to address delays or logistical issues.<br>• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in reported data, ensuring accuracy and reliability.<br>• Identify inefficiencies in logistics processes and propose actionable solutions to enhance operations and reduce costs.<br>• Collaborate with sales teams, trucking companies, and field operations to meet customer needs and prevent tank overflow incidents.<br>• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and maintain detailed records for audits and monthly reporting.<br>• Utilize logistics software and tools, such as Excel, for accurate data entry and reporting.<br>• Support team efforts by providing insights and solutions that align with operational goals.
• Proven experience in logistics coordination, preferably within the oil or trucking industry.<br>• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records across multiple systems.<br>• Excellent communication skills for interacting with internal teams, vendors, and drivers.<br>• Problem-solving abilities to address logistical challenges and inefficiencies effectively.<br>• Proficiency in logistics tools and software, including Excel and ERP systems.<br>• Reliability and ability to work extended hours in a fast-paced environment.<br>• Familiarity with compliance regulations and reporting requirements.<br>• Knowledge of Spanish is a plus, but not mandatory.
