Email Developer
<p><strong>Position Overview</strong></p><p><br></p><p> We’re seeking a skilled <strong>Email Developer</strong> to join our digital experience team. This role combines hands-on development with creative collaboration, helping deliver high-impact, user-focused email and web campaigns. You’ll work alongside creative, operations, and strategy teams to ensure clients deliver seamless, data-driven communications that elevate customer engagement.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Develop responsive and optimized HTML deliverables for email and landing pages.</li><li>Convert design files (e.g., PSDs, Figma) into fully functional, mobile-responsive HTML emails.</li><li>Implement and enhance HTML code for cross-platform compatibility across major email clients.</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs maintain visual integrity through coding.</li><li>Integrate content into various marketing automation platforms for campaign deployment, ensuring compliance with CAN-SPAM and other regulations.</li><li>Troubleshoot and refine emails, addressing rendering issues, dynamic content, and personalization scripts.</li><li>Conduct QA testing to validate rendering, deliverability, and tracking accuracy across clients and devices.</li><li>Develop and maintain template libraries, reusable assets, and documentation for campaign consistency.</li><li>Provide technical guidance to internal and client teams on email development standards.</li><li>Support offshore and nearshore development resources, ensuring quality and best-practice adoption.</li><li>Collaborate with designers and strategists to drive innovation through interactivity, animation, and dynamic content tools (e.g., Liveclicker, Movable Ink).</li><li>Optimize workflows and recommend efficiencies for coding, deployment, and quality assurance.</li></ul><p><br></p>
<p><strong>Required:</strong></p><ul><li>Minimum of 2 years of experience in email or web development.</li><li>Strong proficiency in <strong>HTML and CSS</strong>, with proven experience developing responsive and fluid layouts for email and web clients.</li><li>Demonstrated portfolio or work samples showing at least 20 email templates or campaigns built for multiple clients/platforms.</li><li>1+ year of experience working in at least one major <strong>marketing cloud platform</strong> (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Experience Platform, HubSpot, Braze).</li><li>Ability to troubleshoot and debug across email clients and devices.</li><li>Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Willingness to travel occasionally based on project and client needs.</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Marketing Technology, or related field.</li><li>Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications (Email Specialist, Administrator) or equivalent platform credentials.</li><li>Experience with <strong>dynamic content personalization</strong> and scripting languages used in email platforms (AMPscript, Handlebars, etc.).</li><li>Working knowledge of XML and JSON as used in integrations and campaign configurations.</li><li>Familiarity with <strong>Agile</strong> or <strong>Scrum</strong> methodologies and modern deployment workflows (e.g., CI/CD).</li><li>Ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.</li><li>Strong interest in digital marketing, design systems, and innovation.</li></ul><p><br></p>
