Patient Service Representative
<p>We are looking for a dedicated Patient Service Representative to join our team on a contract basis in Henrico, Virginia, with the potential to go long term. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring their experience is welcoming and efficient while managing administrative tasks and maintaining accurate records. This position requires excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a commitment to delivering compassionate service in a fast-paced healthcare environment.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Welcome patients and assist them with check-in procedures, ensuring a positive and detail-oriented experience.</p><p>• Schedule, confirm, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments while managing the provider's calendar effectively.</p><p>• Maintain and update patient demographic, financial, and medical information in electronic health records.</p><p>• Provide administrative support by handling calls, inquiries, and documentation in a timely manner.</p><p>• Verify insurance eligibility.</p><p>• Serve as a communication hub between patients, providers, and staff to ensure seamless information flow.</p><p>• Keep the reception area clean, organized, and calm, while managing office supplies and inventory.</p><p>• Adhere to privacy and security protocols to protect patient confidentiality and comply with regulations.</p>
<p>• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a patient service or customer service role, preferably in a healthcare setting.</p><p>• Proficiency in scheduling platforms and electronic health record (EHR) systems.</p><p>• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for engaging with patients and healthcare staff.</p><p>• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to handle multiple tasks and maintain accurate records.</p><p>• Ability to address patient inquiries and resolve issues with professionalism and composure.</p><p>• Proven adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and respond to changing priorities.</p><p>• Commitment to providing empathetic and high-quality service to patients and their families.</p>
