Receptionist
<p>We are seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for our organization. This role plays a vital part in supporting smooth daily operations by providing consistent front desk coverage, administrative assistance, and clear, courteous communication with the public, district personnel, and partnering agencies.</p><p>The Receptionist represents the organization in all initial interactions, setting a positive and professional tone for visitors, callers, and community members. Responsibilities include answering and directing incoming calls, welcoming visitors, managing administrative tasks, and supporting internal departments with scheduling, documentation, and general office coordination.</p><p>This position requires strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask effectively, and a commitment to confidentiality and professionalism. The ideal candidate is dependable, customer-focused, and comfortable working in a public safety environment where accuracy, discretion, and responsiveness are essential.</p>
Key Responsibilities: Greet and assist visitors, residents, and vendors in a detail oriented and courteous manner Answer and route incoming phone calls, emails, and general inquiries appropriately Provide accurate information regarding district services, departments, and procedures Maintain front office organization, records, and filing systems Schedule appointments, meetings, and coordinate calendars as needed Process incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries Assist with data entry, reports, and other administrative tasks Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion Support administrative staff and leadership with general office duties Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required Previous receptionist, administrative, or customer service experience preferred Strong verbal and written communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office and general office technology Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to multitask and remain detail oriented in a fast-paced environment Strong customer service mindset and interpersonal skills
