We are looking for an experienced Divisional/Plant Controller to join a dynamic manufacturing team near Hartford. In this contract role, you will play a key part in overseeing financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, and driving insightful analysis to support business decisions. This position requires a strong background in cost accounting and financial management within a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities:• Prepare and oversee month-end financial close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.• Conduct detailed financial analysis to evaluate performance and identify opportunities for improvement.• Develop and manage reforecasting processes to support strategic planning and decision-making.• Perform comprehensive cost accounting, including analyzing production costs and labor rates.• Generate financial reports that provide clear insights into operational and financial health.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between financial goals and operational strategies.• Monitor and evaluate manufacturing costs to maintain profitability and efficiency.• Analyze labor rate data to optimize workforce planning and budgeting.• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.• Utilize Sage 100 software for financial management and reporting tasks.

• Proven experience in manufacturing cost accounting and financial management. • Strong expertise in month-end close processes and financial reporting. • Proficiency in Sage 100 software and its applications. • Solid understanding of cost accounting principles and labor rate analysis. • Exceptional analytical skills to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights. • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. • Effective communication skills for collaborating across departments. • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
