We are looking for an experienced Buyer to join our team in Greenville, South Carolina. This is a long-term contract opportunity in the manufacturing industry where you will play a critical role in sourcing, procurement, and vendor management. The ideal candidate will excel at maintaining inventory levels, negotiating supplier agreements, and ensuring seamless purchasing processes. Responsibilities: • Identify and establish relationships with vendors to meet organizational needs. • Evaluate supplier quotes and source alternative vendors to improve product quality and reduce costs. • Generate and manage purchase orders in compliance with quality system standards. • Oversee inventory levels to ensure availability of required materials. • Address and resolve issues related to transportation, receiving, and outstanding invoices. • Review and manage orders weekly, including new, past-due, and expedited items. • Maintain and update automated requisition systems to streamline procurement processes. • Negotiate stocking programs, service agreements, and blanket orders with vendors. • Process requisitions from automated systems into purchase orders. • Collaborate with internal departments to handle miscellaneous purchase orders efficiently.

• Proven experience in procurement, vendor management, and inventory control. • Strong knowledge of health information management systems, such as Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application (AHLTA), McKesson, and EHR systems. • Familiarity with IBM AS/400 systems. • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with suppliers and internal teams. • Ability to negotiate service agreements and vendor stocking programs. • Proficiency in creating and distributing various reports. • Detail-oriented approach to managing purchase orders and inventory. • Capacity to lead or support projects as assigned by the Materials Manager.
