We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our team in Grants, New Mexico. This is a long-term contract position requiring on-site work to support financial operations at a community hospital. The role is essential for ensuring timely financial reporting, assisting with audits, and maintaining accurate financial records.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Perform bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial records.<br>• Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with accounting standards.<br>• Assist with month-end close processes and generate financial reports.<br>• Provide support to external auditors during financial audits.<br>• Collaborate with the Accounting Manager and interim leadership for approvals and guidance.<br>• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.<br>• Maintain and update the general ledger with precision and accuracy.<br>• Offer general support to the finance team to meet organizational goals.<br>• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.<br>• Adapt to a small-team environment with cross-functional responsibilities.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.<br>• At least 2 years of accounting experience with a focus on detail and accuracy.<br>• Strong proficiency in general accounting principles and practices.<br>• Demonstrated ability to manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger tasks.<br>• Experience with bank reconciliations and journal entries.<br>• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.<br>• Familiarity with MultiView General Ledger is a plus.<br>• Previous experience in a healthcare or hospital setting is preferred.
