<p>Robert Half Management Resources is looking for an experienced Controller to provide financial leadership and expertise to one of our non-profit clients on an interim basis. This contract position offers an opportunity to make a significant impact by ensuring the organization's financial operations align with its mission and strategic goals. The ideal candidate will balance high-level strategic planning with hands-on financial management to deliver optimal results.</p><p><br></p><p><u>Responsibilities:</u></p><p>• Develop and implement financial strategies to support the organization's objectives and ensure fiscal stability.</p><p>• Oversee the preparation and management of annual budgets, including rolling cash flow forecasts.</p><p>• Manage grant accounting processes, including compliance with federal and state regulations.</p><p>• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including monthly closings and audit preparations.</p><p>• Maintain adherence to non-profit regulations and requirements, including tax filings such as Form 990.</p><p>• Evaluate and enhance internal controls and financial systems to optimize efficiency and compliance.</p><p>• Collaborate with the Board and Executive Director to provide financial analysis and guidance.</p><p>• Present financial updates and recommendations to the Board, ensuring transparency and accountability.</p><p>• Utilize accounting software such as NetSuite to manage financial operations effectively.</p><p>• Lead and manage remote financial teams, ensuring smooth collaboration and communication.</p>
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior role within the non-profit sector.<br>• Advanced knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and fund accounting.<br>• Expertise in tax filings, particularly Form 990, and grant compliance under Uniform Guidance.<br>• Proficiency in financial reporting and board presentations.<br>• Experience with accounting software such as NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or QuickBooks Online.<br>• Strong ability to manage complex revenue streams, including grants and private funding.<br>• Exceptional organizational and communication skills for remote team management.<br>• Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to operational tasks.
