Patient Service Representative
<p>We are looking for a Patient Service Representative to join our team in Glen Allen, Virginia. This Contract-to-Permanent position offers the opportunity to assist patients and healthcare providers in a dynamic and supportive environment. The ideal candidate will bring excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering exceptional service to patients in need.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Assist patients with resolving technology-related issues related to scheduling and accessing services.</p><p>• Coordinate appointment scheduling for patients and provide support for healthcare providers in managing their calendars.</p><p>• Answer incoming calls, evaluate patient situations, and direct them appropriately based on urgency and need.</p><p>• Process copayments and handle payments for services using credit card systems, verify insurance coverage.</p><p>• Contact patients to collect outstanding balances and ensure timely resolution of accounts.</p><p>• Serve as the front-line representative, offering support to individuals from diverse demographic and cultural backgrounds.</p><p>• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records and documentation; ensure confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.</p><p>• Greet and check-in patients; assist in the completion of patient registration and intake forms.</p>
<p>• Proficiency in Microsoft Teams and Excel.</p><p>• At least two years of experience in a medical office or primary care setting.</p><p>• Strong critical thinking skills to assess and respond to patient needs effectively.</p><p>• Experience with patient scheduling and registration processes.</p><p>• Background in providing customer service in a busy environment.</p><p>• Ability to assist patients with compassion and professionalism.</p>
