Data Entry Clerk
We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to join our team in Glen Allen, Virginia. In this Contract-to-Permanent position, you will play a crucial role in accurately processing and maintaining data from insurance documents, ensuring compliance with established business rules and procedures. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with strong organizational skills and a commitment to maintaining high levels of accuracy and productivity.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Enter and update information into workflow applications by referencing insurance documents and applying business processing rules.<br>• Classify and input data into specific fields with precision, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established guidelines.<br>• Maintain a monthly accuracy rate of at least 98% while consistently meeting production goals.<br>• Identify and escalate issues to supervisors or team leads by following proper procedures for document handling and reassignment.<br>• Process and correct information within IT systems, adhering to defined business rules and escalating concerns as required.<br>• Manage data for assigned accounts while maintaining a solid understanding of account-specific processing requirements.<br>• Regularly review instructions and updates to business rules, ensuring adherence to procedures communicated through various formats.<br>• Verify completed work for errors or duplicate entries prior to final submission to processing systems.<br>• Foster strong relationships with clients and colleagues to support a collaborative work environment.<br>• Participate in additional related projects as assigned to meet team objectives.
• At least 2 years of experience in data entry or a related field, demonstrating attention to detail.<br>• Proficiency in 10-key typing and strong general typing skills.<br>• Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel for document handling and data organization.<br>• Ability to manage email correspondence effectively and professionally.<br>• Strong organizational skills to maintain files and process large volumes of information.<br>• Experience performing calculations and working with numerical data.<br>• Knowledge of scanning and digital document handling processes.<br>• Excellent attention to detail and ability to consistently meet accuracy standards.
