Purchasing & Logistics Representative
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Purchasing & Logistics Representative to join our team in Gardena, California. In this role, you will oversee procurement processes and logistics operations to ensure smooth and cost-effective supply chain management. This is a contract position with potential for long-term employment, offering a great opportunity for growth and career development.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Manage the sourcing, purchasing, and overall materials management process to ensure timely and efficient operations.<br>• Plan and control inventory levels to balance cost efficiency and availability.<br>• Coordinate import logistics via air and ocean, as well as domestic transportation, ensuring timely delivery.<br>• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliability and effective communication.<br>• Oversee delivery schedules and resolve any logistical issues that arise.<br>• Conduct detailed analysis and reporting to support operational decisions and improvements.<br>• Ensure compliance with internal systems and industry regulations for purchasing and logistics activities.<br>• Provide operational support and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize supply chain workflows.<br>• Monitor costs and negotiate with vendors to achieve favorable terms.<br>• Analyze market trends and evaluate supplier performance to drive continuous improvement.
• At least 5 years of experience in purchasing, logistics, or supply chain management.<br>• Demonstrated expertise in managing air and ocean import logistics, as well as domestic transportation.<br>• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in mathematics for cost control and inventory planning.<br>• Advanced knowledge of Excel and other relevant systems to support reporting and analysis.<br>• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Supply Chain, or Economics.<br>• Proven ability to work effectively with suppliers and vendors to achieve operational goals.<br>• Familiarity with industry standards and compliance requirements for purchasing and logistics.<br>• Excellent organizational and communication skills to manage multiple priorities effectively.
