Supply Chain Manager
We are looking for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to oversee vendor relationships and procurement processes for a government-focused organization in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. This role requires a strong understanding of supply chain logistics and government contracting to ensure compliance and efficiency. As a long-term contract position, this opportunity is ideal for professionals seeking stability and a chance to make a significant impact.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure seamless collaboration and effective service delivery.<br>• Provide training and guidance to the purchasing team on vendor management best practices.<br>• Collaborate with the contracts and procurement teams to optimize purchasing strategies and ensure compliance with regulations.<br>• Oversee vendor performance and enforce governance policies, ensuring adherence to contractual agreements.<br>• Establish and refine procurement processes to enhance efficiency and meet organizational goals.<br>• Manage purchase requests and logistics operations to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment.<br>• Monitor and ensure compliance with government regulations and contracting requirements.<br>• Work closely with county government representatives to align procurement strategies with regulatory standards.<br>• Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements within the supply chain.<br>• Address and resolve vendor-related issues to maintain smooth operations.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in supply chain management, procurement, or a related field.<br>• Strong knowledge of supply chain logistics and processes.<br>• Experience with government contracting and familiarity with related regulations.<br>• Proficiency in vendor governance and relationship management.<br>• Ability to train and lead teams in procurement best practices.<br>• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.<br>• Familiarity with county government operations and procurement procedures.<br>• Strong communication and negotiation skills to manage vendor interactions effectively.
