Accounting Clerk
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Fort Wayne, Indiana. In this Contract-to-permanent position, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Process accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.<br>• Review and verify invoices from assessors, ensuring all required documentation is complete.<br>• Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing clients and following up on overdue accounts.<br>• Apply payments to customer accounts and submit necessary adjustments for review and approval.<br>• Maintain and update documented accounting procedures, recommending improvements as needed.<br>• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial forecasts and annual budgets.<br>• Act as a liaison between clients, assessors, and internal staff to address and resolve accounting-related issues.<br>• Prepare reports, schedules, and other financial documentation for special projects or as required.<br>• Utilize accounting software tools such as QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel to support daily operations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, and familiarity with accounting software like QuickBooks.<br>• Strong understanding of accounts payable and receivable processes, including payment processing and expense reporting.<br>• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on customer service and problem-solving.<br>• Exceptional organizational abilities with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.<br>• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.<br>• Familiarity with accounting principles and financial processes.<br>• Experience using tools such as Concur Expense and other related accounting platforms is a plus.<br>• Strong attention to detail and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
