Robert Half Contract Finance and Accounting is seeking a Payroll Specialist for our client near Fernley, NV. Our client is seeking a Payroll Specialist to support their team and manage bi-weekly payroll for approximately 200 employees. If you have strong attention to detail and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, this is the perfect role for you! <br> Key Responsibilities Process and oversee bi-weekly payroll for 200 employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Maintain and update payroll records for new hires, terminations, changes, and deductions. Reconcile payroll reports and resolve any discrepancies as needed. Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure compliance with federal and state payroll regulations. Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, taxes, and benefits in a detail oriented and timely manner. Prepare and submit payroll tax filings, reports, and compliance documents.

Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or similar field preferred (or equivalent work experience). 2+ years of hands-on payroll processing experience, ideally with mid-sized organizations (200+ employees). Proficiency in payroll software, such as ADP, Paychex, or similar platforms. Solid understanding of payroll tax regulations and wage-hour laws. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Outstanding communication skills and ability to provide excellent employee support.
