Mailroom Assistant
We are looking for a detail-oriented Mailroom Assistant to join our team in Federal Way, Washington. This position is part of the Credits department and involves handling sensitive and time-critical documents. As a Contract to permanent opportunity, this role offers a chance to showcase your organizational skills and gain valuable experience in a dynamic environment.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Process refund checks by receiving, sorting, and matching physical check numbers with corresponding backup documentation.<br>• Print checks, correspondence, and other documents as needed, ensuring accuracy and timely distribution.<br>• Prepare mailings by collating packets and stuffing envelopes for delivery.<br>• Perform basic data tasks in Microsoft Excel, such as copying and pasting information, using filters, and applying simple formulas.<br>• Maintain proactive communication with supervisors and managers to address technical issues or workflow concerns.<br>• Ensure all mail and checks are accurately processed to avoid errors such as returned mail or incorrect delivery.<br>• Follow checklist-based workflows to complete repetitive tasks efficiently and with precision.<br>• Uphold confidentiality and integrity when handling sensitive financial documents.<br>• Organize and prioritize daily responsibilities to meet deadlines and departmental goals.
• Prior experience in mailroom operations or similar roles is preferred.<br>• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including basic formulas, filters, and data manipulation.<br>• Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in processing checks and correspondence.<br>• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.<br>• Organizational skills to manage repetitive tasks and prioritize deadlines.<br>• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with time-sensitive materials.<br>• Familiarity with handling sensitive financial documents is a plus.<br>• Excellent problem-solving skills and resourcefulness in addressing workflow issues.
