Sr. Accountant
<p>We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Erie, PA on a contract to hire basis. In this role, you will be an integral part of the finance department, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and operational efficiency. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in accounting, particularly in manufacturing, and a proven ability to manage complex financial processes.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Oversee daily accounting functions, ensuring all transactions are accurate and comply with internal policies.</p><p>• Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports to support decision-making.</p><p>• Manage fixed assets, cost accounting, and expense control to optimize financial performance.</p><p>• Collaborate on month-end and year-end closing processes, including external audits and tax filings.</p><p>• Develop and maintain internal control systems to ensure adherence to financial regulations.</p><p>• Assist in preparing annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses to support organizational goals.</p><p>• Build relationships with external auditors, tax authorities, and financial institutions to streamline processes.</p><p>• Perform account reconciliation, journal entries, and bank reconciliations as needed.</p><p>• Utilize accounting systems such as SAP or Oracle to manage financial data effectively.</p>
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.<br>• At least 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.<br>• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and inventory management.<br>• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems such as SAP or Oracle.<br>• Demonstrated experience with month-end close, general ledger management, and account reconciliation.<br>• Excellent analytical and organizational skills with a detail-oriented approach.<br>• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
