This position is suited for a hands-on accounting leader who can balance strategic thinking with day-to-day execution while guiding a small team. Responsibilities:• Direct the company’s accounting activities, ensuring financial records are accurate, timely, and aligned with applicable standards.• Lead month-end and year-end close processes while maintaining strong internal controls and reliable reporting practices.• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, setting clear expectations and supporting focused development within the team.• Partner with leadership to review financial performance, explain results, and help inform business decisions.• Oversee the preparation of financial statements, reconciliations, and supporting documentation for audits and compliance needs.• Improve accounting workflows and systems usage to increase efficiency, accuracy, and visibility across financial operations.• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve accounting issues and maintain smooth day-to-day processes. • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • At least 7 years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including leadership responsibility. • Strong technical accounting knowledge with the ability to apply sound financial principles in practice. • Proven experience managing or mentoring direct reports in an accounting environment. • Hands-on approach with the ability to work both strategically and in detailed operational tasks. • Strong systems aptitude and comfort working within accounting and financial platforms. • Clear and effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
