We are looking for a meticulous Staff Accountant to join our team in El Paso, Texas. This Contract-to-Permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to various accounting functions while enhancing your skills. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in corporate tax and accounting processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all financial matters.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Prepare and review corporate tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.<br>• Manage sales tax filings and ensure timely submission of required documentation.<br>• Record and reconcile journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.<br>• Oversee general ledger activities, including adjustments and account reconciliations.<br>• Analyze and interpret financial data to support decision-making and reporting.<br>• Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial information and resolve discrepancies.<br>• Ensure adherence to accounting standards and company policies.<br>• Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation to auditors.<br>• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance efficiency.

• Proven experience in corporate tax preparation and filing.<br>• Knowledge of sales tax regulations and compliance procedures.<br>• Proficiency in recording and reconciling journal entries.<br>• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting practices.<br>• Ability to analyze financial data and produce accurate reports.<br>• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.<br>• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.<br>• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
