Safety Coordinator
<p><br></p><p>We are seeking an <strong>EHS Technician/Safety Coordinator</strong> with a strong background in <strong>chemicals and/or safety management</strong>, ideally within a manufacturing environment (machining, aerospace, automotive). Warehousing experience is also acceptable. The ideal candidate has at least <strong>2+ years of experience</strong> in environmental health and safety practices and thrives in a hands-on role.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Perform <strong>chemical waste auditing and disposal</strong> in compliance with safety standards.</li><li>Clear blockers and ensure <strong>accessibility to safety-specific equipment</strong>.</li><li>Support replacement and proper deployment of <strong>hazardous waste receptacles</strong>.</li><li>Operate a <strong>forklift occasionally</strong> for major waste or chemical movement.</li><li>Execute <strong>deploy and put-away activities for hazardous chemicals</strong>.</li><li>Assist in <strong>revising and deploying updated job safety assessments</strong>.</li><li>Collaborate with manufacturing teams on <strong>general shop organization</strong> to improve egress, ingress, and accessibility across the program.</li></ul>
<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li><strong>2+ years</strong> of experience in <strong>chemical safety management</strong> or EHS-related roles. (not a firm requirement - junior-level candidates are encouraged to apply!)</li><li>Background in <strong>manufacturing environments</strong> preferred (machining, aerospace, automotive); warehousing acceptable.</li><li>Knowledge of basic <strong>hazardous material handling and disposal</strong>.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety compliance.</li></ul>
