Staff Accountant
<p>We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Denver, Colorado. This is a long-term contract opportunity ideal for a motivated individual with expertise in tax and financial accounting. The role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact by ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with tax regulations.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts to maintain accurate financial records.</p><p>• Manage sales tax filings and ensure timely submission of required documentation.</p><p>• Create and post journal entries to support monthly and annual financial closing processes.</p><p>• Collaborate with internal teams to address utility revenue accounting needs and resolve discrepancies.</p><p>• Assist in preparing documentation and reports for audits and regulatory reviews.</p><p>• Provide support during special projects, including system migrations or process improvements.</p><p>• Monitor financial transactions to ensure proper classification and adherence to company policies.</p><p>• Identify opportunities for process optimization and contribute to the implementation of best practices</p>
<p>• Proficiency in handling general ledger reconciliations and journal entries.</p><p>• Familiarity with corporate financial reporting and accounting principles.</p><p>• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.</p><p>• Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting software.</p><p>• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.</p><p>• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration across departments.</p>
