<p>We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our client's team in Cottondale, Alabama. This is a contract-to-permanent opportunity within the machinery manufacturing industry, offering the chance to contribute to critical financial operations and processes. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing accounting tasks, streamlining processes, and supporting audits while working closely with the Controller.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, with a focus on optimizing and streamlining AP processes.</p><p>• Perform detailed balance sheet reviews and reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting.</p><p>• Assist in audit preparation and compliance, providing necessary documentation and support.</p><p>• Conduct cost accounting analysis, including standard costing and fixed asset accounting.</p><p>• Prepare sales and use tax reports and ensure compliance with regulations.</p><p>• Utilize advanced Excel functions such as pivot tables and VLOOKUPs for data analysis and manipulation.</p><p>• Support month-end close processes, including journal entries and general ledger maintenance.</p><p>• Handle large volumes of data entry with attention to accuracy and detail.</p>

<p>• Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.</p><p>• Proficiency in accounting software, such as Infor Sightline, and advanced Excel skills.</p><p>• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and processes.</p><p>• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.</p><p>• Knowledge of fixed asset accounting and standard costing methods.</p><p>• Experience in preparing and reviewing account reconciliations.</p><p>• Familiarity with sales and use tax regulations and compliance preferred.</p>
