SQF Practitioner
We are looking for an experienced SQF Practitioner to join our team in Compton, California. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and maintaining the quality standards of our manufacturing processes. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual dedicated to upholding rigorous quality assurance protocols within a fast-paced environment.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Oversee the implementation and monitoring of food safety programs in compliance with the SQF Food Safety Code for Manufacturing of Food Packaging.<br>• Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis of environmental conditions, raw materials, and finished products to ensure they meet established specifications.<br>• Develop and enforce procedures for food safety across production, warehouse, hygiene, and maintenance areas.<br>• Manage supplier and vendor approval programs, regulatory audits, and customer claims to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.<br>• Lead training initiatives for facility personnel, focusing on GMPs and food safety standards.<br>• Investigate deviations, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to drive improvement.<br>• Serve as the primary SQF Practitioner for the company, ensuring certifications and compliance are maintained.<br>• Conduct audits of facilities, third-party logistics providers, and internal operations to verify adherence to safety and quality standards.<br>• Prepare and maintain documentation to comply with federal, state, and local regulations.<br>• Collaborate with management to address inspection findings, customer claims, and corrective actions effectively.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality assurance or a related field, with a focus on food safety.<br>• Strong understanding of the SQF Food Safety Code and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).<br>• Proven ability to design and implement food safety procedures across various operational areas.<br>• Experience managing supplier programs, audits, and regulatory compliance.<br>• Skilled in conducting training sessions on food safety and quality assurance.<br>• Excellent problem-solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement.<br>• Strong organizational and documentation skills to maintain compliance records.<br>• Familiarity with federal, state, and local food safety regulations.
