Mailroom Associate
We are looking for a dedicated Mailroom Associate to join our team on a contract basis in Columbus, Ohio. In this role, you will be responsible for handling utility invoices, ensuring compliance with established procedures, and maintaining a high level of accuracy in a fast-paced production environment. This position requires attention to detail, efficiency, and the ability to meet production quotas.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Open and sort incoming mail, invoices, checks, and related documents according to department and customer procedures.<br>• Organize utility bills using separator sheets to prepare them for scanning.<br>• Conduct manual reviews of invoices to ensure adherence to client and departmental guidelines.<br>• Identify and separate bills that do not meet standards, attaching reject forms for further review.<br>• Maintain production quotas while working efficiently in a fast-paced mailroom environment.<br>• Update and follow procedures, ensuring compliance with new guidelines and discarding outdated ones.<br>• Perform minor troubleshooting tasks on mail-opening machines as needed.<br>• Present issues and propose solutions to supervisors to enhance workflow.<br>• Keep the workspace clean and well-organized at all times.<br>• Work overtime as required to meet deadlines and ensure timely processing of accounts.
• Ability to lift mail trays and debris weighing up to 35 pounds and perform repetitive hand/arm movements.<br>• Proven ability to grasp and follow instructions while maintaining high accuracy levels.<br>• Strong organizational and time management skills to thrive in a production-driven environment.<br>• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.<br>• Familiarity with mailroom operations and procedures.<br>• Experience in reviewing invoices or similar documents for compliance.<br>• Capacity to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.<br>• Willingness to work overtime when necessary to meet deadlines.
