<p>Robert Half Management Resources is currently looking for an experience non-profit industry Controller for a contract to hire role with a non-profit client in Columbus, OH. This role will handle all month-end close duties, including journal entries, reconciliations, payroll, and A/P. Grant Accounting experience is strongly desired. The organization is considering a Blackbaud implementation in 2026, so prior experience with Blackbaud or financial systems implementations would be a plus. Role is based 100% onsite at the client's location in Columbus, OH. This is expected to be a contract to hire opportunity, with a minimum 3 month contract period.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Manage and coordinate all accounting functions to ensure accuracy and timeliness</p><p>• Oversee the processing of accounts payable to ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met</p><p>• Ensure the timely and successful completion of month end close procedures</p><p>• Handle payroll operations with precision and confidentiality</p><p>• Work closely with the CFO, providing accurate and timely work results</p><p>• Leverage your experience in the nonprofit sector to improve our financial processes</p><p>• Adapt to new systems and processes as the organization transitions to different software</p><p>• Ensure all financial reports and records are accurate, complete, and maintained as per the company's policy</p><p>• Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed</p><p>• Participate in the ongoing improvement and streamlining of the company's financial procedures.</p>

<p>• 5+ years of experience in non-profit accounting, preferably at the Accounting Manager level or above </p><p>• Experience owning the entire month-end close checklist</p><p>• Proficiency with non-profit grant accounting</p><p>• Experience with payroll processing</p><p>• CPA designation required (does not need to be active)</p><p><br></p>
