We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with experience in mortgage processing to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This position involves managing significant volumes of data entry and spreadsheet work, requiring precision and efficiency. Located in Columbia, South Carolina, this role offers consistent working hours from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Perform high-volume data entry tasks with accuracy, ensuring all information is properly recorded and maintained.<br>• Process mortgage applications and related documentation in compliance with industry standards.<br>• Utilize Encompass software to manage and input loan data effectively.<br>• Create and update detailed spreadsheets to track mortgage processing activities.<br>• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of loan processing milestones.<br>• Verify and analyze financial data to support loan origination and closing.<br>• Assist in reviewing and organizing mortgage documents for accuracy and completeness.<br>• Maintain a thorough understanding of industry regulations and company policies.<br>• Provide administrative support to the mortgage lending team as needed.<br>• Troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies in loan documentation or data entry processes.

• Proven experience in mortgage processing, lending, or a related field.<br>• Proficiency in data entry with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.<br>• Familiarity with Encompass software or similar mortgage processing platforms.<br>• Advanced skills in using spreadsheets, including Excel, for data tracking and analysis.<br>• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage high volumes of data.<br>• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.<br>• Knowledge of mortgage industry regulations and best practices.<br>• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and addressing issues.
