We are looking for an experienced Buyer to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This position offers the opportunity to play a crucial role in optimizing supply chain operations within the defense software industry. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in supply chain management tools and processes, ensuring seamless coordination and execution across various functions.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Oversee supply chain activities, including planning, purchasing, receiving, material handling, inventory management, and shipping operations.<br>• Manage supplier relationships by onboarding new suppliers and maintaining accurate supplier records.<br>• Identify supply and demand requirements, ensuring proper alignment of resources and materials.<br>• Generate and process purchase requisitions and purchase orders with precision and timeliness.<br>• Coordinate the receiving of materials while maintaining optimal inventory levels.<br>• Issue work orders and prepare kits for production to support manufacturing and operational needs.<br>• Facilitate product shipping using industry-standard platforms such as SAP and FedEx systems.<br>• Act as the primary resource for supply chain activities, ensuring efficiency and accuracy across all operations.<br>• Continuously improve supply chain processes to enhance overall performance and reliability.
<p>• Strong proficiency in SAP. </p><p>• Demonstrated experience in supply chain management, including purchasing, inventory control, and logistics</p><p>• Strong knowledge of supplier onboarding and relationship management.</p><p>• Ability to analyze and meet supply and demand requirements effectively.</p><p>• Experience with shipping and logistics platforms, including FedEx.</p><p>• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in managing complex operations.</p><p>• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with suppliers and internal teams.</p><p>• Proven ability to optimize inventory and material flow processes.</p>
