Technical Report Writer
<p>We are seeking a Workday Advanced Reporting Consultant to support a large-scale Workday implementation transitioning from ADP. This consultant will focus on designing, building, testing, and delivering highly customized, cross-functional Workday reports that span multiple workstreams and exceed standard reporting capabilities.</p><p><br></p><p>The consultant will work closely with stakeholders, systems integrator, and HR and Payroll workstream leaders to deliver approximately 30 complex reports requiring advanced customization, security configuration, and cross-system data integration.</p><p><br></p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><p><br></p><p>Design, develop, and deliver advanced custom Workday reports, including matrix and composite reports.</p><p>Analyze existing reporting requirements and identify solutions that span multiple Workday workstreams, primarily HR and Payroll.</p><p>Combine data from multiple sources into unified reports, including Workday and legacy systems.</p><p>Build and manage calculated fields, condition logic, and complex filters.</p><p>Configure, validate, and test role-based security to ensure appropriate data visibility across departments.</p><p>Perform comprehensive testing to ensure report accuracy, performance, and security compliance.</p><p>Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by distributing reports to divisions, collecting feedback, and implementing refinements.</p><p>Deliver reports with view and download access within Workday.</p><p>Collaborate closely with workstream leads to align reporting with implementation standards and timelines.</p><p><br></p><p>Proven expertise in:</p><p><br></p><p>Custom Workday reports</p><p>Matrix reports</p><p>Composite reports</p><p>Strong experience working across HR and Payroll datasets.</p><p>Demonstrated ability to design and test reports with complex security requirements.</p><p>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to data accuracy and validation.</p><p>Experience supporting Workday implementations or post-go-live reporting remediation.</p><p>Workday Advanced Reporting certification(s) strongly preferred.</p><p><br></p><p>Technical Skills</p><p><br></p><p>Strong SQL skills, including writing and troubleshooting condition logic.</p><p>Hands-on experience creating calculated fields and condition fields in Workday.</p><p>Understanding of Workday web services.</p><p>Advanced Excel skills for data analysis, reconciliation, and validation.</p><p>Familiarity with Kronos time and attendance data.</p><p>Ability to manipulate and reconcile data across systems.</p><p><br></p><p>Preferred Skills</p><p>Experience with Workday Studio.</p><p>Experience with Workday Analytics.</p><p>Exposure to EIBs and external data integrations.</p><p>Prior experience working in large public-sector or complex enterprise environments.</p>
