Human Resources (HR) Assistant
We are looking for a detail-oriented Human Resources (HR) Assistant to join our team on a contract basis in Cleveland, Ohio. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations by ensuring employee personnel files are accurate and up-to-date. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to HR operations while developing your expertise in administrative processes.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Review active and inactive employee personnel files to ensure compliance with relevant federal and state regulations.<br>• Organize and maintain company documentation in accordance with established procedures.<br>• Create and update HR files as needed, including company records, performance review files, and I-9 documentation.<br>• Verify employment start and termination dates by accessing payroll and HR systems, as required.<br>• Support onboarding processes by ensuring proper documentation and compliance.<br>• Assist in maintaining HRIS systems to keep employee records accurate and accessible.<br>• Collaborate with team members to address employee relations matters and resolve issues.<br>• Conduct background checks and ensure all pre-employment requirements are met.<br>• Prepare reports and documentation to support HR operations.<br>• Ensure all HR files are securely stored and easily retrievable for audits or internal reviews.
• Experience in HR administration and familiarity with compliance regulations.<br>• Proficiency in HRIS systems and ability to navigate employee data.<br>• Knowledge of onboarding processes and required documentation.<br>• Strong understanding of employee relations and conflict resolution.<br>• Demonstrated ability to conduct background checks and manage pre-employment processes.<br>• Excellent organizational skills to manage HR files and documentation.<br>• Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.<br>• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and address HR-related inquiries.
