<p>We are looking for an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee operational processes and ensure the efficient management of resources for our client in the Education industry. This is a Contract position based in Chicago, Illinois, offering an exciting opportunity to lead key initiatives and drive performance improvements. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in operations management and capacity planning, along with a strategic approach to achieving organizational goals.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Foster a supportive and inclusive environment by connecting with and caring for students, colleagues, and the broader community through weekly duties and administrative tasks.</li><li>Continuously grow as a lifelong learner through participation in meetings, professional development, and applying training protocols to build a proactive and responsive community.</li><li>Manage daily operations by coordinating maintenance, responding to service requests, and ensuring the campus runs smoothly, while supporting safety and compliance with inspections and emergency preparedness plans.</li><li>Build problem-solving and planning expertise by creating and managing preventative maintenance schedules, collaborating with contractors and vendors, and overseeing construction and equipment needs.</li><li>Maintain financial efficiency by balancing budgets, tracking costs, approving invoices, and ensuring projects stay on schedule.</li><li>Lead and support facilities and security teams by hiring, training, and managing staff to ensure alignment with the organization's goals and community needs.</li><li>Communicate vision, goals, and progress with internal and external collaborators through various platforms while fostering operational sustainability with school leadership.</li><li>Use technology tools, including Google and Outlook applications, to collaborate effectively, streamline processes, and support team communication.</li><li>Contribute to a safe, positive school experience by managing daily arrival and dismissal operations and assisting with additional tasks as needed to strengthen the overall community.</li></ul><p><br></p>

<ul><li>5+ years of Facilities Management experience</li><li>Education industry experience is highly preferred</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field is preferred</li><li>Experience utilizing the Microsoft Suite </li><li>Strong attention to detail </li><li>Ability to stand, bend at the waist, sit, crouch, kneel, crawl, and reach for sustained periods of time, and/or as job may require</li></ul><p>Benefits available to contract professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance.
