Fundraising Officer
<p>We are looking for a motivated and resourceful Fundraising Officer to join a nonprofit organization based in Chatsworth, California. This contract to hire position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact by building relationships with donors, identifying funding avenues, and supporting the organization's mission through effective fundraising strategies. The ideal candidate will bring creativity and persistence to donor outreach, grant writing, and campaign execution.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Develop and nurture relationships with donors, corporate sponsors, and community partners to secure funding and support for organizational initiatives.</p><p>• Conduct thorough research to identify grant opportunities and assist in drafting and submitting compelling proposals.</p><p>• Initiate contact with potential donors through cold calling and outreach efforts to promote the organization’s mission and secure contributions.</p><p>• Plan and implement successful fundraising campaigns and events that align with revenue targets.</p><p>• Maintain accurate records of donor interactions and manage donor databases effectively to track progress and engagement.</p><p>• Provide detailed updates and reports on fundraising activities, campaign outcomes, and donor engagement metrics.</p><p>• Collaborate with team members to brainstorm and execute innovative fundraising strategies.</p><p>• Monitor fundraising trends and identify new opportunities to expand the organization’s donor base.</p>
<p>• A minimum of 2 years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, or grant writing is ideal but not required.</p><p>• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with donors and stakeholders.</p><p>• Proven ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.</p><p>• Familiarity with donor management software or fundraising platforms is preferred.</p><p>• Confidence in cold calling and initiating conversations with prospective donors.</p><p>• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.</p><p>• Experience in planning and executing successful fundraising campaigns is highly desirable.</p><p>• Knowledge of business development and fundraising strategies is a plus but not required. </p>
