Event Manager
We are looking for a skilled Event Manager to oversee and execute dynamic trade shows and events for our organization in the insurance industry. This long-term contract position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with internal teams and external partners, ensuring seamless planning and execution of major events. Based in Charlotte, North Carolina, this role requires a proactive individual with strong organizational skills to manage all aspects of event logistics and engagement strategies.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Lead the planning and coordination of a major national trade show, serving as the primary project manager.<br>• Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align event logistics with organizational goals and deadlines.<br>• Organize event logistics, including booth setup, meeting room bookings, and vendor coordination.<br>• Research and secure venues for networking events such as happy hours, ensuring a memorable attendee experience.<br>• Arrange accommodations and hotel bookings as needed for event participants.<br>• Develop creative strategies to increase engagement and attract attendees to event booths.<br>• Maintain and update detailed timelines, checklists, and communication plans to ensure smooth execution.<br>• Manage vendor relationships and ensure all deliverables meet expectations.<br>• Support smaller internal or external events as required, ensuring consistency and excellence.<br>• Anticipate and resolve potential challenges to keep all event components on track.
• Proven expertise in event or trade show management, particularly in B2B settings.<br>• Strong organizational and project management skills with exceptional attention to detail.<br>• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively in a fast-paced environment.<br>• Excellent communication skills, including vendor negotiation and stakeholder coordination.<br>• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.<br>• Experience working independently in a remote role with minimal supervision.<br>• Availability to dedicate increased hours during critical planning periods and event execution.<br>• Knowledge of event logistics, promotion, and engagement strategies to drive success.
