<p>We are seeking a proactive Cybersecurity Analyst to join a lean, high-impact security team. This is a contract role focused on phishing response, detection triage, PowerShell scripting, and security documentation. The right candidate brings technical fundamentals, strong initiative, and the ability to operate autonomously in a small team environment. This role includes hands-on problem-solving, cross-functional coordination, and opportunities to contribute to training materials and security architecture visuals.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Primary Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Lead daily monitoring and response to phishing attempts and suspicious email activity.</li><li>Conduct log reviews, analyze detections, and escalate as needed using CrowdStrike.</li><li>Support compliance and governance tasks, ensuring proper documentation.</li><li>Write and refine PowerShell queries/scripts for automation & investigation.</li><li>Assist in building network diagrams and architectural documentation.</li><li>Help design and maintain security training materials that are user-friendly and visually engaging.</li><li>Demonstrate strong independence and ownership within a small two-person security function.</li></ul>

<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Hands-on experience with email security or phishing investigation.</li><li>Familiarity with EDR platforms (CrowdStrike preferred).</li><li>Strong analytical skills for reading logs, alerts, and detections.</li><li>PowerShell scripting or query-writing experience.</li><li>Must have strong technical fundamentals and not rely on AI tools during execution.</li><li>Excellent problem-solving and initiative-driven work ethic.</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred</strong></p><ul><li>Experience with FortiGate or other firewall platforms.</li><li>Network diagramming or architecture experience (Visio/Lucidchart/etc.).</li><li>Exposure to CMMC compliance frameworks.</li><li>Previous experience building or supporting security awareness content.</li></ul>
