Accounting Manager/Supervisor
<p>We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager or Supervisor to oversee key financial operations and ensure the accuracy of accounting processes within our organization. Based in Charleston, South Carolina, this role requires a meticulous individual who can manage month-end close activities, maintain compliance with US GAAP standards, and provide leadership in financial reporting. This is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking to make a meaningful impact in the health, pharmaceutical, and biotech industry.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Manage month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all financial transactions.</p><p>• Oversee general ledger activities, including account reconciliations and journal entries.</p><p>• Conduct detailed financial statement audits and collaborate with internal and external auditors.</p><p>• Prepare and review annual financial reports, ensuring compliance with US GAAP standards.</p><p>• Monitor and maintain financial reporting systems to ensure data accuracy and integrity.</p><p>• Lead the reconciliation of accounts, identifying discrepancies and implementing corrective actions.</p><p>• Provide leadership and guidance to accounting staff, fostering a culture of accuracy and efficiency.</p><p>• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to streamline operations.</p><p>• Analyze financial data and generate reports to support organizational decision-making.</p><p>• Stay updated on changes to GAAP accounting standards and ensure compliance across all financial activities.</p><p><br></p><p>For information please contact jerome.johnson@roberthalf com</p>
• Proven experience in accounting management or supervisory roles.<br>• Strong knowledge of month-end close processes and general ledger management.<br>• Expertise in financial statement audits and annual reporting.<br>• Proficiency in US GAAP and GAAP accounting principles.<br>• Ability to prepare and analyze financial reports with attention to detail.<br>• Skilled in account reconciliation and journal entry processes.<br>• Excellent leadership and communication abilities.<br>• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification preferred.
