Sr. Accountant
<p>We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. This role requires someone with a strong background in accounting processes, including month-end close, reconciliations, and journal entries. If you are detail-oriented and excel at working with financial data, we encourage you to apply.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Oversee and manage the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.</p><p>• Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger, maintaining compliance with accounting standards.</p><p>• Perform detailed account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, to ensure data integrity.</p><p>• Utilize Excel spreadsheets to analyze and report financial information effectively.</p><p>• Apply GASB principles to accounting processes, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.</p><p>• Collaborate with team members to support financial operations and reporting.</p><p>• Identify discrepancies in financial records and implement corrective measures.</p><p>• Assist in maintaining a well-organized general ledger system.</p><p>• Provide insights and recommendations to improve accounting workflows and processes.</p>
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably as a Senior Accountant.<br>• Proficiency in managing month-end close processes and journal entries.<br>• Strong knowledge of account and bank reconciliation practices.<br>• Familiarity with GASB principles and their application in accounting.<br>• Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting.<br>• Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in financial records.<br>• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.<br>• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
