Buyer
We are looking for an experienced Buyer to join our team in Buffalo, New York. This is a long-term contract position offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to health information management and procurement processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sourcing, vendor management, and working with specialized systems.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Manage procurement activities, including sourcing and purchasing materials, services, and equipment.<br>• Maintain and update health information management systems to ensure accurate records.<br>• Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to negotiate contracts and pricing agreements.<br>• Utilize specialized systems such as AHLTA, McKesson, and EHR platforms for procurement-related tasks.<br>• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards during the procurement process.<br>• Analyze purchasing trends and identify cost-saving opportunities.<br>• Coordinate with internal teams to forecast purchasing needs and align with organizational goals.<br>• Monitor inventory levels and initiate reordering to prevent stock shortages.<br>• Prepare detailed reports on procurement activities, vendor performance, and cost analysis.<br>• Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to orders or deliveries.
• Proven experience as a Buyer or in a similar procurement role.<br>• Familiarity with health information management systems, including AHLTA and EHR platforms.<br>• Experience with McKesson and IBM AS/400 systems is highly desirable.<br>• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.<br>• Ability to analyze data and identify cost-saving opportunities.<br>• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.<br>• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external vendors.<br>• Knowledge of industry standards and compliance requirements in procurement processes.
