Software Engineer
We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Boston, Massachusetts. This role focuses on modernizing financial applications and transitioning them to Azure, ensuring improved reliability and functionality for internal users. If you are passionate about leveraging cutting-edge technologies to drive efficiency and innovation, we encourage you to apply.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Lead the modernization of finance-related applications, transitioning them from legacy systems to Azure-hosted platforms.<br>• Develop and optimize databases in Azure, ensuring seamless integration and performance.<br>• Utilize Azure Durable Functions and Azure App Services to enhance application reliability and scalability.<br>• Apply expertise in .NET technologies, including Entity Framework Core, to create robust and efficient solutions.<br>• Implement testing best practices using NUnit or xUnit to ensure high-quality deliverables.<br>• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate technical requirements into business solutions.<br>• Develop and maintain macros for Excel and the Office Suite to streamline workflows.<br>• Employ Azure DevOps for efficient project management and deployment processes.<br>• Design and implement solutions using Blazor and WinForms to modernize user interfaces.<br>• Consolidate and connect server-based applications to create a unified, streamlined system.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering.<br>• Proficiency in Azure development, including Durable Functions and App Services.<br>• Strong knowledge of .NET technologies, preferably .NET 8 or 10, and Entity Framework Core.<br>• Experience with Azure DevOps for project management and deployment.<br>• Familiarity with Excel and Office Suite macros for workflow automation.<br>• Hands-on experience with Blazor and WinForms.<br>• Advanced skills in testing frameworks such as NUnit or xUnit.<br>• Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
