<p>We are seeking a motivated Late-Stage Collector with expertise in account recovery and resolution for a local client. In this role, you will be responsible for managing delinquent accounts nearing the charge-off stage and working closely with customers to negotiate settlements or repayment plans. Your ability to provide excellent customer service while adhering to compliance standards is key to your success in this role.</p>

<p>esponsibilities:</p><p><br></p><p>Manage a portfolio of late-stage delinquent accounts, prioritizing accounts nearing charge-off.</p><p>Contact customers via phone, email, or written correspondence to negotiate payments, settlements, or payment plans.</p><p>Conduct detailed account analysis to determine the best course of action to resolve outstanding balances.</p><p>Explain account statuses, terms, and repayment options while ensuring clear and professional communication.</p><p>Coordinate with the internal legal or recovery team to escalate delinquent accounts when necessary.</p><p>Accurately document customer interactions, payment arrangements, and resolutions in the system.</p><p>Adhere to company collection policies, industry regulations (e.g., FDCPA), and compliance standards.</p><p>Provide recommendations on recovery strategies to maximize repayment success.</p><p>Work collaboratively with other departments to improve account resolution processes.</p><p>Qualifications:</p><p><br></p><p>Proven experience in collections, specifically working with late-stage or high-risk accounts.</p><p>Understanding of collections laws and compliance regulations, such as the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).</p><p>Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to maintain a positive and empathetic tone.</p><p>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</p><p>Proficiency in collections or CRM software.</p><p>Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.</p><p>High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications in finance or collections is a plus.</p>
