Staff Accountant
<p>We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you will manage financial transactions, perform audits, and support monthly closings for various accounts and entities. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the operations of a leading medical devices company.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Review and verify general ledger entries and postings for accuracy and compliance.</p><p>• Conduct thorough audits of general ledger accounts and subaccount transactions.</p><p>• Assist with monthly closings to ensure financial records are up-to-date and complete.</p><p>• Process, post, and review accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.</p><p>• Handle monthly closings for small real estate holding companies, ensuring precision and timeliness.</p><p>• Audit project-related transactions, including purchase orders, invoices, payments, and shipping documentation.</p><p>• Examine inventory records and ensure proper posting of project transactions.</p><p>• Collaborate with team members to support accurate and efficient financial reporting.</p><p>• Identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions to maintain financial integrity</p>
• Proficiency in corporate tax processes, including preparation and filing.<br>• Strong understanding of sales tax and its application in financial transactions.<br>• Experience with corporate tax returns and related documentation.<br>• Ability to create and review journal entries with accuracy and attention to detail.<br>• Solid knowledge of general ledger functions and account reconciliations.<br>• Previous experience in auditing financial transactions and ensuring compliance.<br>• Adept at managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.<br>• Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
