We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Bloomington, Minnesota. This role offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the banking sector while working in a hybrid environment. Ideal candidates will have a background in accounts payable and a strong understanding of basic financial processes. Responsibilities: • Process invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper coding and approval. • Prepare payments and manage check runs in a timely manner. • Post transactions to the general ledger and handle GL tickets as needed. • Assist with sales and use tax calculations using Vertex software. • File and maintain financial documentation to ensure compliance and organization. • Collaborate with team members to support daily accounts payable operations. • Utilize basic Excel functions to organize and analyze financial data. • Train on company-specific systems and processes to ensure smooth workflow. • Perform other related duties to support the accounting department as required.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounts payable or a related financial role. • Familiarity with general ledger processes and invoice coding. • Basic proficiency in Excel, including the ability to use simple formulas. • Knowledge of sales and use tax procedures is preferred. • Experience in the banking industry is advantageous. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid setting. • Willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and processes.
