We are looking for a dedicated Workers' Compensation Attorney to join our team in Bloomington, Illinois. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for growth, a collaborative mindset, and a commitment to delivering outstanding legal services.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Represent clients in workers' compensation hearings and trials, ensuring their legal rights are protected.<br>• Conduct thorough legal research and prepare motions, briefs, and other required documentation.<br>• Manage discovery processes, including gathering evidence and performing depositions.<br>• Collaborate with team members to develop effective case strategies and share insights.<br>• Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel to advance case objectives.<br>• Demonstrate leadership by mentoring less experienced attorneys and contributing to team development.<br>• Stay updated on changes in workers' compensation laws and integrate knowledge into practice.<br>• Participate in philanthropic initiatives and community outreach aligned with the firm's values.<br>• Ensure compliance with all ethical and detail-oriented standards of legal practice.<br>• Utilize remote work options effectively when applicable, in accordance with company policy.
• Licensed attorney with a minimum of 3 years of experience in workers' compensation or civil litigation.<br>• Proven track record handling hearings and trials within the industrial commission.<br>• Strong ability to draft motions, briefs, and other legal documents with precision.<br>• Proficient in managing discovery processes and conducting depositions.<br>• Excellent research and analytical skills to support case preparation.<br>• Effective communicator with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.<br>• Self-motivated and capable of leading initiatives independently.<br>• Commitment to community engagement and social justice efforts.
