Senior Project Manager
<p>**Please note, this position is onsite 4 days/week at client's office in Birmingham, AL. Candidates that aren't local to Alabama will not be considered for this position</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Position Summary</strong></p><p>Our client is seeking a highly organized and results-driven <strong>Project Manager</strong> to lead business readiness and process integration initiatives across <strong>Revenue Accounting, Customer Service, and Power Delivery</strong> functions. This in-person role will be based at client's headquarters in Birmingham, AL, and will be responsible for coordinating the development of operational playbooks, facilitating process discussions, and ensuring smooth program cutover through effective communication and stakeholder engagement.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p><strong>Project Management & Planning</strong></p><ul><li>Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and deliverable tracking for business readiness activities.</li><li>Coordinate cross-functional efforts to ensure alignment with program milestones and organizational objectives.</li><li>Identify risks, issues, and dependencies; develop mitigation strategies and communicate impacts to leadership.</li></ul><p><strong>Business Readiness & Process Development</strong></p><ul><li>Lead process documentation and playbook development for Revenue Accounting, Customer Service, and Power Delivery teams.</li><li>Facilitate workshops and working sessions to define future-state processes, roles, and responsibilities.</li><li>Ensure readiness assessments are completed and actions tracked to support smooth transition to new systems or processes.</li></ul><p><strong>Cross-Organizational Facilitation</strong></p><ul><li>Organize and lead recurring meetings with stakeholders across departments to drive collaboration and decision-making.</li><li>Serve as liaison between business units and program teams to ensure consistent communication and alignment.</li><li>Support change management and communication efforts to prepare employees for upcoming changes.</li></ul><p><strong>Tracking & Reporting</strong></p><ul><li>Maintain weekly and monthly deliverable tracking related to communications, training, and cutover activities.</li><li>Develop dashboards and status reports for leadership, highlighting progress, risks, and upcoming milestones.</li><li>Ensure all deliverables are completed on time and meet quality standards.</li></ul><p><strong>Program Cutover & Implementation Support</strong></p><ul><li>Coordinate readiness activities leading up to program cutover, including validation of processes, data, and communication plans.</li><li>Support post-cutover stabilization efforts by tracking issues and ensuring resolution across impacted teams.</li></ul>
<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or related field; PMP certification preferred.</li><li>5+ years of project management experience, ideally within utility operations, accounting, or customer service environments.</li><li>Proven experience managing cross-functional business readiness or process improvement initiatives.</li><li>Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.</li><li>Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar).</li><li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.</li></ul><p><strong>Competencies</strong></p><ul><li>Strategic and analytical thinking</li><li>Exceptional organizational and time management skills</li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication abilities</li><li>Detail-oriented with a focus on execution and results</li><li>Adaptable to changing priorities and business needs</li></ul><p><br></p><p>**Please note, this position is onsite 4 days/week at client's office in Birmingham, AL.
