Attorney/Lawyer
We are looking for a skilled Attorney/Lawyer to join our legal department on a contract basis in Belton, Missouri. This role will focus on drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements while offering legal counsel to various internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be adept at balancing legal risk with business objectives and providing strategic advice to support organizational goals.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of customer and supplier agreements, including master services, subcontracting, and partnership contracts.<br>• Provide legal counsel and strategic recommendations to internal stakeholders, including sales teams, project managers, and corporate officers.<br>• Evaluate and mitigate legal risks in customer projects, vendor agreements, and procurement initiatives.<br>• Analyze and address legal aspects of project documents such as RFPs, RFQs, bids, proposals, and terms and conditions.<br>• Collaborate with project teams to manage legal risks, including claims related to indemnification, liability, and liquidated damages.<br>• Develop and implement legal strategies that align with business objectives and ensure cost-effective solutions.<br>• Create and deploy tools, processes, and training programs to enhance organizational legal practices.<br>• Maintain effective communication and build trust with internal clients to support their business needs.<br>• Handle additional responsibilities as assigned to support the legal department.
• Proven experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, including supplier and customer agreements.<br>• Strong understanding of legal risk management and dispute resolution.<br>• Ability to provide strategic legal counsel that balances business objectives with legal considerations.<br>• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster trust with internal stakeholders.<br>• Familiarity with technical support services and partnership agreements.<br>• Proficiency in analyzing complex legal documents and offering actionable insights.<br>• Capability to develop and implement legal tools and processes for organizational improvement.<br>• Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active licensure to practice law.
